Rose in Vale, Cornwall

This 19 Century miner's cottage in rural Cornwall had small, dark rooms with limited natural light having been built into an imposing Cornish hillside. The challenge was to fashion a light and airy creative living space using a mono-pitched roof  and glazing patterns as reflective of its natural context; the roof reflects the hillside's slope and glazing pattern surrounding trees.

Brindifield, Devon

The old stone house is set within stunning gardens. The brief was to design an open living space to engage with the garden, lake and the breathtaking views across the hills of mid-Devon to capture the light and sun.  A high-end design that respectfully compliments the history of its surroundings whilst opening up space and light for living.

Stippy Stappy, Cornwall

Stippy Stappy is an iconic terrace in the St Agnes conservation area. This Grade II 19 Century end of terrace maximised light and function whilst maintaining its historic integrity. By bringing the living spaces to first floor level, the client could directly access the existing high-level garden and new terrace behind.

Ivy Cottage, Cornwall

Ivy Cottage is located within a World Heritage SIte and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty along the Cornish coastline. This newly built detached four bedroom house had to meet  onerous planning constraints that required a sensitivity to its natural and historic context, against a client brief for a super modern and utilitarian interior.

Belvidere Road, Exeter

Set in the Duryard estate, this 1960s detatched house had living spaces at first floor level and spectacular views over the Exe valley. The house was totally renovated and the design sought to use an open plan layout to exploit views and sun entry.
